Classical Savion
“Whatever the endeavor, there remains one constant: those magical, unstoppable feet.” (New York Times)
According to the New York Times, Glover’s “Stamina is unflagging, his energy unquenchable and his virtuosity unbeatable…sequences resembled bursts of firecrackers.” Savion Glover has established himself as the most prolific tap dancer of his generation. In Classical Savion, the Tony Award-winner Glover backed by a string ensemble and jazz combo applies his metal studded-soles to the classic works of Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, and Bartók. Savion Glover has mesmerized audiences worldwide with his behind-the scenes work as Mumbles, the dancing penguin in the animated film “Happy Feet.”
